Park Clean-Up - Volunteering
Selvin's Landscaping, also known as Selvin's Outdoor Living / Selvin's Landscaping - Design & Build, participated in a community event at Medinah Park. During the Medinah Park District's Earth Day Celebration in 2025, they donated their time and materials to renovate the park. This contribution was part of a broader community effort that included a free park clean-up and planting activities. The Medinah Park District publicly thanked Selvin's Landscaping for their generous support during this event.
The Medinah Park District extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in our Earth Day Celebration on Saturday.
A special note of appreciation goes to Selvin's Outdoor Living / Selvin's Landscaping - Design & Build for their generous donation of time and materials used to revitalize the mulch beds surrounding the Connolly Recreation Center. Their outstanding craftsmanship and courteous team made a lasting impression, and we look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with them again in the future.
We also thank all who contributed to our recycling initiative. A wide range of items were dropped off, including books, batteries, electronics, toys, clothing, and more—demonstrating a strong community commitment to sustainability.
Volunteers joined us in creating seed bombs using native prairie species, a fun and educational activity that supports biodiversity and local wildlife.
Whether you participated in clean-up efforts, contributed to planting, engaged in eco-friendly learning, or brought materials to recycle--you made a meaningful difference.
